From High School Hustle to County-Wide Impact
TM Grand County began in 2004 as a small crew of friends from Middle Park High School—led by Ehren Samuelson—working together on fencing, firewood, and land clearing projects around their hometown. The name "TM" started as a lighthearted inside joke, short for "Tickle My," but the work they did was no joke: dependable, hands-on, and rooted in a deep respect for the land. As Ehren built on his family's outfitting legacy and pursued a degree in recreational tourism, that early hustle grew into something more. By 2012, TM had evolved into a professional operation serving Grand County with integrity and skill. Over the years the operation continued in its original evolution with founding partner Jonas Pearson and has recently undergone restructuring.
Rebranded as TM Grand County, with “TM” now meaning Timber & Mountain, the business took on larger fire mitigation, fencing, and timber harvesting projects while staying true to its local roots. Ehren’s passion for sustainable land management and community service led to the launch of TM Timbers, specializing in premium firewood and local wood products. Today, TM Grand County stands as a trusted name across the region—born from friendship, built with hard work, and dedicated to preserving the beauty and function of Colorado’s mountain landscapes.

Ehren Samuelson
S212 Sawyer Certied & 11th year Volunteer East Grand Firefighter
Ehren Samuelson is a 5th-generation owner of his family's business, Samuelson Outfitters, and the owner of TM Timbers, a subbrand of his founding company, TM Fencing. Since founding TM Grand County in 2012, Ehren has dedicated himself to serving his community through multiple ventures. A wood expert and arborist, he has a deep knowledge of the forest environment, which informs his work with TM Timbers, where he provides locally sourced, expertly processed firewood.
Ehren’s athletic background—including his time as a wrestler at Middle Park High School and a rugby player at Colorado State University (CSU)—helped shape his work ethic, leadership, and teamwork skills. These qualities have been crucial to his entrepreneurial success, and he brings the same drive and commitment to his businesses that he once applied to the wrestling mat and rugby field.
In addition to his business ventures, Ehren is a volunteer firefighter with the Grand County Fire District, where he has served for over 10 years. His ability to respond under pressure and lead in critical situations stems from his athletic experiences and his dedication to his community.
Ehren is also a proud father of nearly three children, balancing family life with his business responsibilities. In addition to TM Timbers, Ehren has established a seasonal recreational business, Jones Pass Guides, which serves as a local employer for mountain enthusiasts and provides backcountry attractions for clients across the globe. Through TM Timbers, Jones Pass Guides, and Samuelson Outfitters, Ehren showcases his commitment to sustainability, quality service, and a deep connection to the land and people of Grand County.
